Book Review – Riding on a Beam of Light by Ramsey Dean

June 12, 2013

Riding on a Beam of Light is a children’s ebook by Ramsey Dean, and illustrated by Noah Hamdan.  Albert is a little boy with a huge imagination.  It doesn’t take much for him to be imagining all sorts of things, including riding around on a beam of light.  Take a look into one of the many day dreams of a young Albert Einstein that eventually fueled his scientific theories and discoveries.

I’ve always been a fan of science stuff, so I was very excited to read this to my daughter.  The story was a very quick read, and was very informative.  Mr. Dean added in a lot of info about Albert Einstein, so now my three year old has a basic grasp of who he was.  The illustrations were wonderful and my daughter was absolutely enthralled by them.  I liked them as well.  It also made me curious about Einsteins theory of relativity.  I only ever learned the basics about it, but not the story behind it.   I’ve been looking it up to past few days and have found out all sorts of neat stuff.  Once my daughter is older, it will be fun to share it with her.

Overall, the story was wonderful and I highly recommend it.  The good narrative, detailed images & educational informations make it an excellent read for your young ones.  It is available on both iTunes and Amazon for $7.99.

I received the above book for free to help facilitate my review.
