Food Review – Hoffbrau Steaks

July 7, 2012

A few days ago, I was given a $40 gift certificate to go and check out Hoffbrau Steaks. Hoffbrau is a steakhouse restaurant with several locations serving the DFW area, Granbury, Haltom City and Amarillo. We when to the North Dallas restaurant that just recently opened located on Campbell Road.

We got there a little while before the dinner rush started, so we were able to sit right down and order. We started with the Sweetwater Shrimp, a jalapeno stuffed with a large shrimp, then wrapped in bacon and dipped in Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce, for our appetizer. Jason ordered the 10 oz Rib-Eye and I ordered the 8 oz Smoked Sirloin. Both of our dinners came with a side & salad. But enough of this…I’m going to let the pictures do the talking:

Sweetwater Shrimp
8 oz. ‘Ladies Cut’ Smoked Sirloin
10 oz. Rib-eye

The entire meal was excellent. The meat literally melted in your mouth. We ate everything, including the bread roles. Even the tea was great. The service was fast and the atmosphere was pleasant. The only complaint I have is that the tables are a little too close together, but that’s mainly due to the layout.

Overall, this was one of the best dinners out that we’ve had in a while. Everything was great. The gift certificate covered everything but part of the appetizer & tip…so we only spent about $15 total. The prices are very reasonable so a dinner for two will definitely cost under $40 depending on what you get. They also have lunch specials as well. As I mentioned earlier, they have several location around the DFW area. To find the one closest to you or to take a look at their menus, you can visit their website.

I recieved a $40 gift certificate to the resturant mentioned above to facilitate my review.

Oh, looks yummy! Glad I didn’t read this in the evening. I’d probably be out the door on the way!
