Danger’s Kiss is a romantic thriller/mystery by awared-winning author Christine Michels. Kim Tannas hates her home town. When she was a kid, her father was murdered and more recently, her husband was killed in the line of duty. Now she is forced to return to face her own demons when her cousin is brutally murdered in what appears to be a random crime. However, Sheriff Vaughn Garrett suspects that it’s the work of a serial killer, and Kim quickly finds herself to be the next target.
Now, I knew that there were going to be romance scenes in it, and I expected to run across them right away. There are several scenes where the sexual tension is building between Kim and Vaughn, and I kept expecting something to happen. Just when I had given up and figured that nothing would happen until closer to the end of the book…BLAM! I was totally hit out of left field with a very hot sex scene. There are several more after that on, each one getting hotter than the last. While they aren’t overly graphic, the way in in which Mrs. Michels writes them allows you to easily visualize it in your head and let your imagination run wild.
