Product Review – CanvasPop

The creation process is pretty simple and straight forward.  You first pick where you are getting you’re image from (computer, Facebook, ect…), then pick the type of layout you.  You then have the option of choose either a standard size or a custom size that you define.  The next step is to choose your frame options.  Just rolled canvas with no frame is free, while varying depths and frames range from $30 to $60.

After picking your edge options (all free), you will be able to upload your image.  You then have the option of adding an effect.  They have options like comic book, oil painting and vintage.  Black & White is free, while the others cost $10 to $30 extra.  If you are handy with Photoshop, or any other photo editing software, you can create the effects yourself like I did.  I edited mine to give it a vintage effect, and then re-uploaded it.  You also have the choice of getting the image enhanced at an additional cost as well.  Again, most of this can be done yourself.

Once you have everything ready, you can submit your order.  Shipping will vary depending on the size and how fast you need it.  It took about two days for me to get my proof (May 1), and then about a week later I got the shipping notice (May 8).  It arrived three days later via FedEx.  The print came out wonderful!  The canvas was applied to the frame perfectly and the color came out great.  We are extremely happy with it and are planning to order another for my parents.  Plus, they tossed in a $30 off coupon, a 15% coupon, and a $100 gift card to DNA 11.

Overall, CanvasPop is an excellent service.  You have lots of options to play around with and it’s quick and simple to create.  The only down side is the price, which can be very expensive depending on what you are wanting.  However, the quality of the work is well worth it.  Plus, you can save some money by skipping the photo editing/effects and doing them yourself.  They also have a referral system where you get a $50 credit for every friend you refer.  You can find out more info about CavasPop at their website.
