Product Review – The World’s Most Beautiful Places Blu-ray

July 8, 2011

I was recently sent a few copies of one of the Living Landscapes HD Collection from HD Enviromnents.  HD Environments works to bring high definition digital art in homes and public places.  The disks features stunning footage from around the world set to original music from award winning composers.

I was sent The World’s Most Beautiful Places in both Blu-ray and DVD.  It is composed of several short segments from 9 of their programs.  I started out watching the Blu-ray first.  Once the video began, I was absolutely shocked at the image quality.  The picture was breathtaking.  It felt like I was standing right there in the forest.  The total length of the video is 75 minutes, but I could spend all day replaying the Costa Rica segment.  You can also watch clips from the Pacific Coast, Rocky Mountain, Hawaii, Olympic Rainforest, Bali, and more.  The DVD copy doesn’t quite have the clarity of the Blu-ray, but it still looks almost as good.

Overall, I was very impressed.  They are great to play during parties or even at businesses.  I recommend getting the Blu-ray, mainly since the picture is so vivid.  Each video costs $14.95, and you can choose between standard DVD or Blu-ray on most of them.  They also carry travel videos as well.  For more information or to order, you can check out the HD Environments website.
