Product Review – about.me

July 21, 2011

A week or so ago, I was invited to my first BzzAgent campaign for about.me.  about.me is a website that lets you create a personal page that has a short bio and links all of your online sites…sort of like a business card.  The page is fully customizable and completely free.

The concept is pretty neat, so I headed over the to site and registered.  After a quick and easy sign up, I picked out my custom URL, then got to work creating my page.  You can choose from 17 different gallery backgrounds, or upload your own.  I ended up using one of the gallery images since I don’t have any good pictures of myself.  Next, you can type in your info, then edit the font & colors.  You have your name in big, bold letters, a headline consisting of whatever text your want, and a big bio space.  I’ve left my bio empty for the moment because I have absolutely no idea what to write.  You can then add in links to all your different online info, or ‘services’, like Blogger, WordPress, Twitter, and more.  These supported services will show up as icons.  You can also add in text links as well.

Overall, it’s a pretty useful thing to have.  You have links to all your stuff in one, easy to get to place.  You can also use the dashboard to view your stats and promote your page.  Plus, you can get special offers from time to time as well.  If you sign up right now, you can get a free pack of business cards from MOO (shipping not included) that will match your page.  It’s definitely worth checking out.

I received the above mentioned product through BzzAgent.
