I’ve been looking at these Pocket Sketches notebooks for two weeks now, and I’m still not sure what purpose they serve. The sketchbook has 16 pages: 8 graph pages and 8 pages with the image of an iPhone. The only other features it offers is on the front and back covers, consisting of “personal info ‘return book'” and a revenue/profit matrix…both of which serve no purpose whatsoever. The notebook itself is about the size of an iPhone. While it will fit in your pocket, I don’t think there is enough room on the pages to sketch out a good visual concept.
The kicker is that you are expected to pay $8 for only one notebook. You can a full sized art sketch book for that price. Hell, you can get more use out of a pack of notebook paper and it only costs $1 (or 50¢ during ‘Back to School’ at WalMart). For $8 I would expect something the size of a composition notebook at least.
Overall, I am completely unimpressed with this product. It’s a complete waste of money.
