Last week, I was sent a Bellemain Heavy-Duty Pastry-Chef Quality Oven Safe Cooling Rack to test and review. The rack is designed with perfectly sized air pockets allows your baked goods optimal circulation for setting. The rack is light weight, made of steel, and covered I chrome plate. The size is 12x17, making it the perfect size for my crowded counter top. it easily fits without overhanging. I used it while getting my Christmas baking done. I was able to cool off a pan of brownies without the counter getting hot. I also placed over 2 dozen cookies (in batches) on it to cool. They cooled quickly and didn’t stick when I removed them. It also stood up to a heavy glass Pyrex dish, fresh from the oven, with Cornish hens in it. Overall, the rack is very nice. A few weeks ago, I was sent a Bamboo Pro™ Self-Warming Knee Support to test out and review. It contains Bamboo Charcoal Technology that offers self-warming properties, which activates with your body heat to bring restorative warmth to your muscles, cartilage, and joints. You can wash in the washing machine, and you can also set it in sunlight or under a full spectrum light bulb once a month for an hour to get rid of any odors. Christmas Time & New Year Resolutions
I love Christmas. There's lights, decorations, a live tree which can be put into the corner of my living room that somehow won't affect my sinus. There is also my birthday...wait...never mind, let's not go there (I'm old!!!). The one downside is that it's the end of the year, which brings it's own unique stress. With it being Fourth Quarter, husband is barely home since he's management at at a certain box-store. About two weeks ago, he called and said that the store had a very bad visit and that he was going to be late. At 11 pm, he said he didn't know when he was coming home. He had been there since about 8:30 that morning and hadn't had any breaks and I don't think he ate anything. He called again around 2 am, saying that he had to drive over to another store to pick something up, take it back to his store, then he might be able to come home.
