A few weeks ago, Ozeri asked me to check out their Ozeri ProMax 500 lbs Digital Bath Scale. This scale has a tempered glass top and a digital face. It runs on 3 AAA batteries, and also included a tape measure and a fat caliper. I have reviewed several scales so far for Ozeri and all of them have been great. My favorite has been the Weightmaster II Bath Scale, which I no longer have. However, this new one is every bit as good even though it doesn’t have a lot of the same features. Now, this scale does have some weight to it so be careful not to drop it on your foot. I speak from experience. I dropped it white trying to get it out of the box. It’s not pleasant and I do not wish that sort of embarrassment (or pain) one anyone. The scale itself is pretty simple. Stand on it and get your weight in a few seconds…whether you are ready for it or not. The display screen is backlit, making the (dreaded) numbers that much clearer to read. The glass can support up to 500 lbs. and ...

Product Review – Camping Travel Fitness and Gym Towel
Last week, I was asked to try out the Camping Travel Fitness and Gym Towel by j2 Line. It comes in a set of two: one large towel (27"х51") (70cm x 130cm) good for your whole body and a small one (12"х27") (30cm х 70cm) for your face & hands. They are designed to absorb large amounts of water and dry fast. I was very interested in trying these out, especially for use at the gym. When they first arrived, I noticed right away how light both towels felt. I figured that the larger one would be the heavier one, but they were both about the same. Both came folded up in a mesh drawstring bag, which is very handy. I tested the large towel out at the pool with some friends. I was able to dry off almost completely in a few minutes. Surprisingly, the weight of the towel didn’t increase that much and was still fairly light. I hung it over the back of the chair and it dried in about 10 minutes or so. I then used it to dry off my daughter, and then wrapped her Puddle Jumper up to ...
Product Review – BEASON iPhone 6/6s Running Armband
Last week, I was asked to try out and review the Beason iPhone 6/6s Running Armband. The band is water resistant, sweat proof, and is adjustable. It has a built in key pocket and a card pocket that will fit a driver’s license, credit card, and/or cash. The phone pocket has a clear front that allows you to use the screen on your phone, and fits any screen up to 4.7 inches (iPhone 5,5s,5c,SE, Galaxy S3/S4). I’ve been looking for things to hold my phone/keys/cards at the gym, so I was interested in trying this out. I had one similar to this in the past, but I don’t have it any more. This is one is pretty much the same, but is a little lighter. My Galaxy S4 fit in it with no problem, and I put a few cards and some cash in it too. The band itself fits very well, however I had an issue with it staying up on my arm. It kept sliding down every time I moved my arm once my phone was in it. Even with it cinched down as tight as I could stand it, it kept moving around and sliding ...
Product Review – Urban Active Sports Running Belt
Last week, I received a Running Belt from Urban Active Sports for try out and review. It has multiple pockets for your keys, money, ID, and credit cards. It also has a pocket with a clear front that allows you to use your cell phone. It also comes with two free gifts: Urban Runner's Survival Guide Ebook and a set of elastic laces. My mom recently signed over her gym membership over to me and I hadn’t been yet at the time I received the running belt. I really needed something I could put my phone and stuff in that wasn’t super bulky and wouldn’t get in the way while I was using the machines. This belt totally fits the bill. I was able to put my phone in the very front pocket, and toss in my ID, some cash, and a debit card with plenty of room left over. I didn’t have anything to put in the small side pockets. The key pocket is more for sliding in a house key, so my car keys didn’t fit…but that was ok since the gym has key hooks. The belt fit easily around my waist and I ...
Book Review – The Mommy MD Guide to Losing Weight and Feeling Great
A few weeks ago, I was sent a copy of The Mommy MD Guide to Losing Weight and Feeling Great. The book has over 700 tips from doctors, who are also mothers, on how to lose weight, fight fatigue, boost their mood, and more. The book is broken into several chapters & has two parts. The first part covers losing weight. There are tips for staying motivated what to drink and eat, and what to consider when looking at weight loss programs. There are also over 25 healthy recipes as well. The second part covers feeling great. There are tips on mood boosting and how to assess your self-esteem, and more recipes that focus on boosting energy. There is also a whole chapter about updating your look and looking your best to help your overall attitude toward yourself. My favorite parts are the recipes. The Busy Morning Oatmeal is really good, and somewhat similar to what I already make, minus the almonds. Several of the other recipes also look good too, like the Ginger-Soy Glazed ...
Cardio 630 Review & Giveaway [ENDED]
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Mom Blog Society Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. A week ago, I was sent a Cardio 630 Heart Rate Monitor from SportLine. SportLine carries a wide range of fitness gear, including hydration items, pedometers & accessories. The Cardio 630 has four main features: Heart Rate/Exercise, Time/Date, Chronograph & Alarm. It’s designed to be super easy to setup and use. The first thing I noticed about the Cardio 630 is that it uses a chest strap to transmit your heart rate. I’ve only ever used the ones that are just the watch, and, frankly, the straps don’t look to be all that comfortable. I was expecting there to be rubbing and chafing. However, it ended up being quite nice. It’s very lightweight and after the first few minutes you have it on, you don’t really notice it anymore. The watch, as expected, was very easy to ...
