Goodnight, Sleep Tight, What a Wonderful Flight is a children's book by Louise Lintvelt. Mrs. Lintvelt has always enjoyed reading since she was young, and her two year old daughter is a source of constant inspiration for her stories. The story follows several different airplanes winding down ad going to to sleep. We get to see what the different planes do during the day and they what they do at night to go to sleep. The planes include a fire plane, a passenger plane, crop duster, air ambulance, and a jet.The story is very cute and the illustrations by Di Thai Thanh are beautiful. The picture for fire plane Jake at night is especially cute with the teddy bear strapped to his wing. My daughter absolutely loved the story. Overall, the story is very cute and great for kids. The book is available in multiple formats on Amazon. You can follow Mrs. Lintvelt at her Author Blog, on Goodreads & Google+, or through her Newsletter Sign-Up. I received the above mentioned book for ...

Book Review – Tell Me A Story: A Parent’s Review of 250 Great Books for Kids by Grace Sandford
Last week, I was sent a copy of Tell Me A Story by Grace Sandford. Tell Me A Story is a guide to the best stories and books for children. It is broken down into age groups and has in-depth descriptions of the books. The book is broken into 5 sections depending on age. The ages run from newborn all the way to 15. This is a massive list of books and you can quickly see that a lot of time went into gathering all of the information. Books range from well-known classics, like Peter Pan, to newer books like Harry Potter, and many of them are award winners. My daughter is 4, and she’s is just started to read on her own a bit. We went through the beginner books and she’s already picked out several that she wants. I also read longer chapter books to her at bed time. After browsing some of the listed chapter books, she wants to read Ella Enchanted next. I also saw several that I’m going to suggest to my teenage sister-in-law as well. Overall, this is a wonderful resource for ...
Book Review – The Mommy MD Guide to Losing Weight and Feeling Great
A few weeks ago, I was sent a copy of The Mommy MD Guide to Losing Weight and Feeling Great. The book has over 700 tips from doctors, who are also mothers, on how to lose weight, fight fatigue, boost their mood, and more. The book is broken into several chapters & has two parts. The first part covers losing weight. There are tips for staying motivated what to drink and eat, and what to consider when looking at weight loss programs. There are also over 25 healthy recipes as well. The second part covers feeling great. There are tips on mood boosting and how to assess your self-esteem, and more recipes that focus on boosting energy. There is also a whole chapter about updating your look and looking your best to help your overall attitude toward yourself. My favorite parts are the recipes. The Busy Morning Oatmeal is really good, and somewhat similar to what I already make, minus the almonds. Several of the other recipes also look good too, like the Ginger-Soy Glazed ...
Book Review — Fire Light by J. Abram Barneck
Fire Light is the first in the Trinity of Mind young adult fantasy series by first-time author J. Abram Barneck. Jake is a jeek, part jock & part geek, who lives a relatively normal life and hopes to get away from home by getting a football scholarship. Suddenly, he finds himself in the middle of a conspiracy to exterminate all the Druids in the world and more girl problems than he can handle. Will he be able to protect his loved ones as well as himself? The story was a little slow up first, but it picked up pretty quick. The plot was solid and stayed on course the entire story. All the characters were likable and very well developed. I really found myself not being able to put it down, and ended up reading it in about a day and a half. I first thought that the love triangle was going to be a rehash of Twilight. But I was very happy to be wrong. he added a very unique twist & looks to be taking it in a different direction than what you would normally expect. I am ...
Product Review — Multicolor Kid by Flattenme Books
Last week, I was sent a copy of Multicolor Kid by Flattenme Books. Flattenme allows you to personalize a children’s book with a photo of your child or with just their name. They have several titles to choose from, and you can also get t-shirts, bottles, and more. Multicolor Kid is customized with just your child’s name & and a dedication (no photos). Multicolor Kids relates all the colors to different aspects of your child: white for courage, blue for imagination, and so on. Each page corresponds to a different color, with very bright pictures. The child’s name is mentioned on each page, and all the text is large and easy to read. It’s a great beginner’s book for little children. My daughter loves pointing out all the different objects in the pictures. She also likes that the book is talking about her and mentions her by name. Ordering is fairly simple. You only need to fill in the desired named, language, and the dedication, if any. You also have a choice between ...
The Otter, the Spotted Frog, and the Great Flood Review & Giveaway [ENDED]
The Otter, the Spotted Frog, and the Great Flood is a new children’s story by Gerald Hausman & illustrated by Ramon Shiloh. It based on the origin story of the Greek Indians of northern Florida and Georgia. Listener the Otter is the only animal that heads the warning of Spotted Frog about the coming of a great flood. As he begins to build a raft, he is ridiculed by the other animals. Will the floods really come and will his efforts be enough to survive them? I loved the story. It might be a bit long for very little children, but my daughter really liked it too (then again, she’s three and is having me read her The Hobbit). The illustrations help bring the story to life as well. They had amazing detail and fit with the book perfectly. The story has many moral aspects to it that can be interpreted in many ways. Primarily, it’s best to have something and not need it, then to need it and not have it. Also, if you had to means to do something and ignored it, then you ...
