Product Review — Sterling Silver Ornament from Reed & Barton

December 12, 2013

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Last week, I got to order a tree ornament from Reed & Barton.  Reed & Barton has been one of the country’s foremost makers of fine tableware & giftware for over 187 years.  They sell items ranging from silverware to jewelry boxes.

They have a nice selection of ornaments, including blown glass, Baby’s First Christmas, & sterling silver.  After looking around, I picked out the Annual Christmas Bell, which is sterling silver.  The bell comes engraved with ‘Christmas 2013’ and you can also personalize the back if you want.  The personalized engraving will cost $8 for a monogram or $10 for two lines of six letters each.

The bell arrived within a few days of ordering and came in a lovely gift box.  The bell was wrapped in paper to protect it, and the clapper (striking ball-thing inside) was also wrapped separate.  It was a little tricky to attach it to the clip in the bell, but once I got it on, it was fine.  When rung, the tone is very crisp and beautiful.  My daughter loves the sound and keeps trying to shake the tree to hear it.

Overall, the bell is beautiful and I highly recommend it if you are looking for a great keepsake or gift.  The bell itself costs $140 (+ shipping) and any engraving will be extra.  You can look at all their other ornaments at their website, as well as visit their social media pages: Facebook, Twitter, Pintrest, & Google+.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
