For the past month, I’ve been testing products from Dermagist. Dermagist makes a unique line of professional facial care products. I was sent their Ultimate Acne Clarifying System, which consists of three products that products major results in less than a month.
I’ve battled nasty acne breakouts since I was a teen, and tried every affordable acne product out there…from Proactive to Clearasil to AcneFree, and even the few products I’ve reviewed on this blog. Nothing ever seems to truly clear it up. In fact, most products are overly strong & make it worse. The worst experience I had was is Proactive, which I tried a few months before I got married. I ended up looking like one of their ‘before’ pictures and almost didn’t get it cleared up in time for my bridal pictures & wedding. It then took several months to get them to cancel my membership/account & to get them to stop charging my debit card.
As I mentioned earlier, Dermagist’s acne system consists of three products: detoxifying cleanser & restorative, clarifying cream w/ Resveratrol & scar fading cream w/ Acai Berry Extract. For the first two weeks, you use the cleanser and clarifying cream at least twice a day. On the third week, you can start using the scar cream where you need it.
When I first started using it, I had several areas of breakouts on my cheeks, nose & chin. I noticed a slight decrease in the redness on the first day, and after about a week, most of the acne was already cleared up. I still had a few individual outbreaks occur, but they cleared up after about a day with just the clarifying cream. Once I added in the scar cream, the results stepped up. Many of the scars and large pores steadily vanish of the course of a few weeks. My skin is the softest it’s been in years and I current have no breakouts.
Overall, this is an excellent product. It works and it works fast. The only downside is the price, which is $119.99 (+ shipping; normally $199.98). However, if your like me and nothing else works, then it’s worth it. You don’t have to use a lot of the product so it will last you a good while. Dermagist also carries other products ranging at various prices. You can check them out at their website.
I received the above mentioned product for free from Dermagist to help facilitate this review.
